Nigeria's built environment sector is heading into a busy October and November with major industry gatherings scheduled in Lagos and Owerri, bringing together civil engineers, developers, investors, policymakers and construction-technology professionals.
The events will place infrastructure resilience, real estate investment, construction technology and digital project delivery on the agenda as industry stakeholders assess opportunities and challenges across the built environment.
NICE 2026: Civil Engineering and Infrastructure Resilience
The Nigerian Institution of Civil Engineers' 24th International Conference and Annual General Meeting is scheduled for 20–22 October 2026 in Lagos.
The conference theme is “Civil Engineering: Sustainable and Resilient Infrastructure for Economic Growth.”
The organisers expect more than 3,000 delegates from over 30 countries, with the programme featuring technical sessions, exhibitions and site tours focused on engineering and infrastructure.
The event is expected to provide a platform for discussions around infrastructure delivery, engineering practice, sustainability and resilience.
Gold in Real Estate Conference: Investment and Development
The Gold in Real Estate Conference (GIRE 2026) will take place in Owerri from 23–24 October 2026.
The conference theme, “Beyond Collaboration: Opportunities for Wealth Creation,” brings together stakeholders from real estate investment, development, finance, policymaking and the wider built environment.
The event will focus on opportunities for investment and wealth creation within the real estate sector, providing a platform for developers, investors and other market participants to engage around industry opportunities.

ConTech Nigeria 2.0: Construction Meets Technology
ConTech Nigeria 2.0 is scheduled for 21 November 2026 at Regal Hall, Oregun, Ikeja, Lagos.
The event will focus specifically on the intersection of construction and technology, with announced areas including Building Information Modelling (BIM), sustainability, policy, investment, drone surveying, reality capture, prefabrication, IoT sensors, robotics, project controls, site monitoring and digital twins.
The programme places technology-enabled project delivery alongside conventional construction and engineering discussions.
Why These Events Matter
The three events cover different but increasingly connected areas of the built environment.
NICE 2026 is centred on civil engineering and infrastructure resilience, while GIRE 2026 focuses on real estate investment and development. ConTech Nigeria 2.0 takes a more specialised approach to construction technology and digital project delivery.
For contractors, developers, consultants and technology providers, the events provide opportunities to monitor industry standards, investment discussions, emerging technologies and infrastructure-delivery practices.
Nomarc Market Signal
The October-November event calendar provides a useful snapshot of the issues currently occupying different parts of Nigeria's built environment. Infrastructure resilience, real estate capital and construction technology will feature prominently across the three platforms, creating several points of convergence between engineering, investment and digital project delivery.
